021024-N-2781V-595– Pula, Croatia — An F-14B “Tomcat” assigned to the Fighter Squadron One Zero Three (VF 103) “Jolly Rogers” takes off from the runway at the Croat Air Force base near Pula, Croatia. An element of VF 103 is on temporary assignment with a detachment from Carrier Air Wing Seventeen (CVW 17), off of USS George Washington (CVN 73) to participate in Joint Wings 2002. The Norfolk, Va.-based aircraft carrier and CVW 17 are on a six month deployment.
