Wilmington, N.C. (Apr. 16, 2005) Ð Four F/A-18A Hornets, assigned to the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Team, the “Blue Angels”, perform their classic diamond formation maneuver during the 2005 Coastal Carolina Air Show in Wilmington, N.C. The Blue Angels fly the F/A-18A Hornet, performing approximately 30 maneuvers during the aerial demonstration lasting over an hour. This year’s air show showcased civilian and military aircraft from the Nation’s armed forces, which provided many flight demonstrations and static displays.
